As a child, Anna developed OCD/PANDAS but was misdiagnosed as bipolar, heavily medicated, and forced into abusive treatment programs. At 17, she was given ECT, which—along with years of drugging—left her severely disabled. With no support from doctors, she became suicidal. Finding hope through others harmed by ECT, she pursued self-guided recovery and founded Life After ECT to ensure survivors aren’t left without answers or support.
